Question, I'm interested in you slow cooker, but also have concerns about being sure there are no harmful contaminants in the clay used for the cooking pot. I've read your web pages about the "Pride of China", but what can you tell me about the actual testing that has been done on the clay for YOUR pots? Also, it would be helpful to know the physical dimensions of each unit.

Answer, our clay pot is made of most prized zisha clay that has been tested to pass FDA / CA proposition 65 requirements. We have two models available- 1) 6-cup uncooked rice / or 3.2 -quart 2) 8-cup uncooked rice / or 4.2 -quart

Question, The cooker arrived yesterday and I'm looking forward to using it. It wasn't clear to me whether the recipes in the accompanying cookbook will fit in the 6 cup model that I bought or whether they're intended only for the 8 cup model. Do you know if the chef had a particular model in mind?

Answer, The 6 cup slow cooker is good for up to 3-4 servings and the 8 cup is good for up to 6-8 servings.
